And to continue with my randomness today...Q's about your grocery store

Sorry, I am at work and REALLY bored.

Does your grocery store have a cocoPop machine? It is this machine that is like a hydraulic system that shoots out these fresh homemade  rice cakes? My local Wegmans has one and I have become addicted! They have all natural ingredients, zero fat, no sugar, no preservatives and are 16 calories a piece. They are freaking addicting!

Also does your grocery store have a daycare/child watch or I am just completely spoiled?

  • I'm in Ma. I've never seen one of those machines, but they sound delicious! Some stores here do have a child watch, but I've never used one.
  • What! I have a Wegmans (with free childcare, which I keep forgetting to use now that ds is 3) but no rice cake machine. I do love the drive up service though, especially in the snow/rain. Wegmans Rocks!

Drive up service? I'm jealous. I'm off to google that machine!

OMG you MUST use it! Now that I have two it is a lifesaver and DS loves going there! They have this big climber/jungle gym thing that he loves and the computers too, he calls it doing his "homework" when he plays on them!

What Wegmans's do you go to, I use the one in Hamburg.

  • I could care less about popcorn cakes, but what is this childcare at the grocery you speak of?  I went to the store with just DS the other day and was shocked to be back home in under an hour. It normally takes us two because DD is poky and chatty and in to everything.
  • I have never heard of this of which you speak.

    It sounds awesome.

Oh yes it is wonderful. They have a door that locks to get in and the parent and child wear matching id bracelets and you have to sign them in and out for safety. There are all sorts of fun things to do inside and they will watch your 3-9 year olds while you grocery shop for up to 2 hours!

  • no to both!  IDK about the childcare thing though (if I'd use it).  DS lurves to grocery shop.  He's be gutted if I put him in a childcare.  weirdo.

  • I go to the one in Williamsville on Transit. I luv it. DS is a little shy and just turned 3, but hopefully he will like it. It looks awesome. The drive up service doesn't shop for you :(, but they pack your groceries in your car and don't accept tips. It's just one less "loading" I have to do.

  • um, no popcorn cakes, childcare, or drive up here...starting to feel jipped!

  • What?! I want childcare at the grocery store!! LOL DS is actually really well behaved in the store, but it would make it go MUCH MUCH quicker without him!

  • I could care less about the rice cakes but I would KILL for the childcare! There is nowhere around here with that. My kids do okay, but it just takes soooo long to take all three of them by myself and it's exhausting! I could cut my time in half and they would love it! I'm so jealous.

  • We have Wegmans.  No child care.  No one really uses the drive up service here.  I would feel weird since no one else uses it.  That's where you do your own shopping and after check out, they wait with your groceries while you pull your car up and they put them in for you. I've done it with large items at Walmart while pg.

No childcare here.  No coco pops machine, but we do have the coco pops.  They sell them in the produce section for some reason.

  • No childcare, no rice puff machines, no drive-throughs, and no grocery delivery here. I'm jealous!

More than anything, I would kill for the grocery delivery.
