I've never attended any down there, but the Archdiocese has a good locator tool on their website. A few of our good friends love their parish in Auburn - Holy Family.
Thanks J! I've done a little research and it turns out there is only one church in my area, so I guess I will try it out and see how it goes I've been doing my stretches getting ready to sit, kneel, stand, sit, kneel, stand lol!
I've been lazy lately! My knees have been killing me, so I just scooch forward and pretend to kneel...sometimes I forget that Mass is such a workout! At least it keeps you awake on the slow days
St. John's is supposed to be a good church. I have never been, but I have heard good things. I go to St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Issaquah. Always have, even when I lived in Kent.

I got to go to St. Joe's for the first time - DH and I are godparents for my nephew, and his baptism was in November. [Were you there? It was a triple baptism - busy time of year!] I really liked the priest, and my brother and his wife said they have been really happy with the parish. They just moved to Issaquah this summer.

I was not there. I am a bad Catholic right now. I go only if I get enough sleep on Saturday night and I can get DH to go with me. I should really go more often, especially since I know the priest really, really well....I used to teach there. Ooops. Whenever I go, I feel like I get a little side eye from Fr. B. He looks at me like he's saying, "hmmm. Haven't seen you in awhile, whatcha been up to that is more important that church??"
I need to go tomorrow...

My brother and his family go to St Johns since it "opened" - even prior to the buildings existing. I used to attend there before we got married. I really like the church and community. I occasionally still go when the nieces or nephew have something special.
knemo - you enjoy St Joseph's in Issaquah? Can I ask how the music is? Also is there a cry room/area to take the baby? I used to attend in Snoqualmie but really didn't feel I fit into the community and the lack of music was a big disappointment for me. I've been very slacking since we got married and don't really see how to take the baby to the one in Snoqualmie, since there is no real place to take a crying baby except outside in the weather...

Oh no kneeling at St Johns either - they don't have typical pews.

I love St. Joes, but I know so many people. I taught there for 3 years, subbed for one before that. I feel like I know everyone in that community. The music is okay at the 10 am mass. The music is really good at the 6 pm Saturday mass. That one's my favorite, but I really like to go w/DH and he works on Saturday nights. They don't have the greatest crying room. It is just a few rows of seats, set up in the foyer. It works, because the doors to the church are glass, but I don't like being out there.
Mary Queen of Peace (Samammish Plateau) has GREAT music and and AWESOME crying room. You should check out a service at both churches. I really dislike Snoqualmie. It feels so impersonal to me, so I understand not wanting to go there. I taught at the 4-8 campus, which is on Newton, near Railroad Ave in Snoqualmie. We went to OLOS for our school masses. Being PG in that church sucked. It is so hot and muggy. BLECH!
