Babies: 3 - 6 Months

How old for ExerSaucer?

One of my friends gave me her DD's ExerSaucer but didn't have the instruction booklet.  How old does DD have to be before she can use it?  She will be 3 months on Monday and has excellent head and leg control and will stand for about 10 minutes if you hold her hands or around her tummy.

Re: How old for ExerSaucer?

  • 5 months.  That's when we put B in a saucer.

  • I googled it and found the product info on Wal-Mart for the Evenflo Exersaucer:

The Evenflo ExerSaucer Deluxe exercises your child's body and mind. Age-appropriate toys hold baby's interest. Helps achieve developmental milestones. Baby can rock, bounce, spin, stand or sit. For infants 4 months to walking age.

  • We starting LO in his months ago. He still can not quite reach the bottom with his feet but we just roll up a pillow and put under it for him to reach. And roll up a blanket and put behind him in the chair so he's not so off-balanced.
  • We also got one at 3 months.  I didn't think he was ready but his feet could touch at the lowest setting so we tried it.  He loved it then and still does.  I would say give it a try if you think she is ready.

  • Well we just started DS on his Jumperoo (similar) today...and he loves it.  He is just tall enough to start a little bounce.  I would say as soon as they have good head control.
  • B just started in his and LOVES it. It has been a lifesaver for all.

  • I think the rec was 4 months, but we started at 3.5 because she had great head control.
