What's better, Shutterfly or Snapfish? Or something else?

What do you use to develop your pics? What's the advantage of using Shutterfly or Snapfish vs. Walgreens or another store  that you can upload photos online? TIA!

  • I have used Shutterfly and Snapfish, but find myself using Snapfish more and more because of their deep discounts (free prints, cheap prints and sometimes free shipping).

Also, I can upload pics and pick them up at Target an hour later if I really need them.  I find that if I go to Target or a pharmacy to print pics, I have to wait to use a machine.  I like the convenience of Snapfish.

  • i get almost all of my prints from snapfish b/c they're cheap (great deals - i get tons of free prints) and I can pick them up at our local store. My only complaint is that they are never in order when I get them, which is a real PITA for large orders.

I have occasionally ordered prints from Shutterfly and have been pleased with them, but they do cost more. I like that Shutterfly pics come in order, and I do like their collages better.

  • I like to store photos on Shutterfly since they wont' delete my pics.  Snapfish and KG will both delete your pictures if you don't make a minimum purchase per year.  Usually $20.  I also like Shutterfly's quality.  Walgreens is okay especially since they're having the 9 cent print sale through today.

  • I like the quality of shutterfly better.  If you end up wanting to make an album they are great and not expensive.  Snapfish lost my order 3 times.  That is when I switched.

  • For personal prints I definitely prefer the quality of Shutterfly over Snapfish (and DEFINITELY over Wallgreens...yeck). Sometimes if the deal is really great through snapfish I'll go ahead and order through them though. I'm willing to pay slightly more for the nicer quality w/ Shutterfly most of the time, and Snapfish has lost an order before, which is annoying.
  • Just based on quality, I like Mpix.com.  And their prices are good too.  My photographer actually recommended that site above the others.

I got someone's order with mine onetime.  Crazy thing is when I called to report it they tried to tell me that I would have to ship the photos back at my expense and they would put a credit on my account.  I of course complained until they emailed a pre paid label, but I bet the average person would have just said "ok" and never sent the pics back.
