DH & I love the name Kenley for a girl but are having a hard time figuring out the best spelling. I have seen it a few different ways and would love some help!
thanks everyone! I guess with my accent it doesn't sound different when I say Kenley or Kinley! We definitely pronounce it "Ken-lee". I just saw this name a long time ago and have loved it ever since! We don't know the sex yet (4 more weeks) but pretty sure it will either be:

I don't like the spelling Kynlee at all. If you want it pronounced "Kin-lee" then Kinley. If you want it pronounced "Ken-lee" then Kenley. I think they are both pretty names!
Kenley and Kinley are said two different ways, IMO.
Kenley like a Ken Barbie doll. Kinley like 'they are my kin." It depends on how you want the name pronounced.
I'm confused because I say Ken and kin exactly the same way. I'm trying to think of how they could be pronounced differently, but I can't figure it out.
I would pronounce Kenley like ken-lee, but I would say Kinley as kin-lee, so I guess it would depend on what you want it to sound like. I don't like the last spelling.

Kenley is how I would spell it. It was on my list until DH said "If she's fat they'll call her Mt McKinley" Where he comes up with this stuff I don't know!
I've heard this and thought it was cute too! I think you could also change the ending to -leigh with any of the beginnings. As someone else put, the difference between Ken and Kin/Kyn (where the e says EH and the i/y says like in ick) won't be enough for anyone to notice since a lot of people don't differentiate between the sounds nowadays anyway... However, of your 3 choices, I dislike Kenley, but like the other two equally
Melanie Paige was born 7/7/10 @ 8:48 AM- 7 lbs 4 oz, 19 in!
Lana Michelle was born 1/9/07 @ 9:40 AM- 6 lbs 14.5 oz, 19.5 in!
won't be enough for anyone to notice since a lot of people don't differentiate between the sounds nowadays anyway...
What?! E and I don't say the same sound. They are two different letters. And what does it being "nowadays" have to do with anything? Perhaps in some areas of the country, accents make them sound the same but that is certainly not the case in everywhere.
E like Emily. Eh, Eh, Eh. Ken rhymes with Ben, ten, zen, den, hen.
I like Igloo. Ih, Ih, Ih. Kin rhymes with pin, fin, tin, sin, bin.

I am assuming the name will be pronounced Ken-Lee?
If so, I would DEFINITELY go with Kenley. I think the other spellings are going to make it difficult for people to pronounce the name correctly.
This.

Kenley Grace

A journey of building the dream.
I like Kenley.
I had the oddly-playced "Y" and I hate the "ee"'s names. Too cutesy
This exactly. Either way, though, it's nms.

I prefer the spelling Kenley.

I still vote Kenley.
