Help- I need a bridal shower game.

What have you played at showers that did not make you want to poke your eyes out?

Re: Help- I need a bridal shower game.

  • My SIL suggested this game:How about how well do u know nick? What's his fav color or food, etc. We could even get his answers about her. Can you help me think of questions?
  • Loading the player...
  • I don't mind the "Guess the baby food" game. You get a bunch of purees in jars...take the labels off...number them and then pass them around and let everyone guess what they are. Person who guesses the most right gets a prize. Use a lot of ones that look the same....sweet potatoes/squash/carrots....peas/green beans...pears/apples...etc. It's not too bad to play.

  • Except everyone will think the bride is pregnant ;)
  • I like ones that aren't too interactive bc I feel weird when I dont know a ton of people.  I really like the one where there is like 10 questions on a piece of paper about the bride and we see who knows her best.

I also like the one where the bride has to answer questions about her future husband and see how well she knows him LOL!

Then they did a fun one at one of my showers where u had two teams (there were about 15 people at this shower) so if there are more people u can have more teams and u give them a bucket of fake slowers and a bouquet holder from like michaels or somewhere with the styrofoam in it so they had to "design" a bouquet for me to use at the rehearsal dinner.  This was a spin off of the bouquet u make from the ribbons and stuff.  I used the ribbon one to walk down the aisle and this one to walk back up at the rehearsal.  It was fun.  The winning teams was the bouquet i used.

Oh, and I liked the one where everyone wrote a piece of advice for me on a piece of paper and it went into a pretty little satin bag and i pulled them out and read them.  Then my MOH had a cute little album for me to stick them in.  I still look back somedays in that for kicks and giggles!!!!

    HTH!

  • At my bridal shower we played a name game.  Everyone had a sticker with a famous person's name, fictional or not, and as they went around the room mingling they were allowed to ask questions about "themselves" until they could guess who they were.  I thought it was pretty fun and to this day DH and my male cousin make fun of me for thinking it was so fun.  They always joke that a party just isn't a party with out the name game.  Smile
  • My favorite game so far ever played:

Object of the game is to be the first to find the gift.

Get a giftcard as a gift, and wrap it up tightly in (wedding) giftwrap and tape in a very small box.

Wrap that box in a bigger box with giftwrap and tape. Repeat about 5 or 6 boxes worth, until you have a huge box for a very small present. Remember to wrap it up good! They're going to try to open it, and you don't want to make it easy!

Get a pair of oven mitts. Everyone takes turns rolling dice in a pie tin. (roll, pass it on, etc). Whenever someone rolls a 7, it's their turn to try to open the gift with the mitts on. If someone else rolls a 7, then they take the mitts from that person and start opening. It goes on like that until someone finds the giftcard. It was so much fun, and we were laughing so hard!

I usually don't like shower games, but THIS sounds like fun!!

  • I know that I am a bit late, but we did this at my shower and I thought it was fun.

Everyone grabs their purse and breaks up into teams.  Each team is given a list of things to find in their purses.  Things like the team with the most credit cards gets a point, if your team has a parking stub you get a point, a fast food recipt is another, and so on.  It's fun when you try for random things or if you have to do play-offs.  You never know what people have in their purses......
