Is it just saline solution? If so, I think he should be ok. If the label doesn't state any weird ingredients, then I think you'll be ok. Does it say to contact anyone if ingested? I wouldn't agine it would be too bad for you if it's something you put on/in your eye.
Good luck.

Saline solution is just salt water. Unless it's a cleanser that contains peroxide I wouldn't worry. If you want to be safe call an eye doc. I'm sure Walmart or Sears is open today.
Isn't Visine the one that just a few drops ingested will make you super diarrheal? I think it is. Don't know if contact solution has the same ingredient, but you might call Poison Control just to ask.
Visine with the stuff that makes the redness go away is what is an issue. Contact solution is pretty much just salt water. You can call poision control if it maked you feel better, but chances are being a holiday it'll be a long wait.
We had a poison control person at our MOPS group this fall and she said the biggest worries in the bathroom in mouthwash and prescriction drugs.
There are some contact lens solutions that are peroxide based though, not all are just saline. But the bottle would have a red cap and cautions on it about putting in your eye or injesting. From the sounds of it, yours is probably just saline if it doesn't have any warnings
Re: Ds ingested a small amount of contact lense solution...
Yeah. Its fine I'm sure.
Exactly. I squirt saline nose spray up DS's nose when he's sick and I'm sure some goes down his throat. It's just salt water, essentially.
Call poison control.

As long as it's just saline solution it's fine.
