I was still at my first job after school in WI, probably getting ultra drunk with my friends and the biggest mistake of my life (aka douche bag ex-boyfriend).

I was living in the South End of Boston in a ridiculously cool brownstone that I could barely afford.  NYE was spent with friends drinking a copious amount of champagne, wandering about First Night Boston, and watching fireworks over Boston Harbor at midnight.

Was fighting with my exbf because we were supposed to go to Chicago but there was a huge snow storm and couldn't so somehow that was my fault.  And getting really effed up.  It was not a good period in my life.  lol.

On a side note, his uncle was one who bought into the whole Y2K thing and had an ungodly amount of water/canned food etc.  What a moron.

Don't think it's too romantic, though, I drank too much and didn't handle it gracefully.

Let's see DH and I married in 2002 but met in 2001 so I guess I was still single and ready to mingle in 2000. So if I am remembering correctly I was living in a house with 4 roommates, working on my master's degree and waitressing at a brew house. I'm sure me and my roommates partied at our place and then hit the town.

I didn't know you went to school in WI!  I was in my last year at Eau Claire and I'm sure for NYE I was drunk on Water Street.  Who am I kidding, that wasn't just NYE, that was every weekend.  Dancing on the bar at The Nasty Habit I'm sure.  Man, I haven't been to a bar with a klassy name like that in ages!

I had just finished my first semester at college and was having a party at my parents' house for my friends.  I had no idea how awesome my life was at the time, hahaha!

spending my first new year's eve with my DH. of course, then he was the guy i was seeing, but i knew there'd be many more with him( i'm not sure he knew this at the time).  10 years ago, we did it big, dinner, out for drinks, and a room within walking distance of the partying.

off to spend #10 with him. (we will be in the livingroom)

Partying on NYE with my BFF, her cougar friend, and a slutty, try to steal your man friend who I no longer speak with, and some random boys.  I was also waiting with crazy nerves for my cover band singing crush to call me at midnight, which he did, but we never hooked up again after that.  21 days later, I met my DH.

I had just turned 17, I was a Junior in HS.  We lived in Oahu, HI (my dad was in the ARMY), my family,my boyfriend at the time,  my aunt and her family, also some family friends....rented a cabin on the beach, and rang in the New Year swimming in the ocean!!!

at first I was thinking, who the heck remembers what I was doing 10 years ago. Then it hit me that it was 1999.  I was in Miami with some friends getting over the douche that dumped me randomly on thanksgiving so he could 'find himself'.  We spent a ridiculous amount of money on a table at a bar. Yes, just on the table.  We were so out of our league, but it was fun pretending for the night.  Flew home the next day hungover and broke.

I was in college, working at Old Navy....I was 'on call' (I was a dept. lead) and the store mgr was terrified of Y2K, so we were on call to be called to work in case of rioting and crap(downtown, street-front store). What would I do about it?  WHO KNOWS. but I had to be reachable. And I was lame then, so probably stayed at my apt all evening
