Starting new traditions

We have never really had a tradition for NYE. I would like to start something with dh and the kids thats EF and family fun.

Ideas?

I'm at a loss too.  I'll be looking forward to seeing responses.

When we're with my family we all hang out, chat, play games and drink.  Hard to do with small kids though.

I think this year we may buy something special to make for dinner (steak anyone?), rent a movie (we get netflix but have nothing great right now since I didn't rearrange the queue in time) and hang out together.

we change into PJ's as soon as we get home from work, eat appetizer type foods all night long (instead  of a regular dinner), toast with sparkling cider at midnight and watch *** Clark.

sometimes DH and I will play a board game together, but this year i think we're gonna be doing guitar hero ;-)

Growing up we did appetizers and board games when my brother and I were younger.  When we got a bit older we did fondue for dinner and then played games.
