WHY does this movie STILL get to me, even though I've seen it SOOO many times?

It's just at the part where they're leaving Earth and I'm thinking ahead to the ending and trying not to tear up.  What a dork.  Plus the president's speech gets to me.

I'm sure most of it is the music.  What a fantastic soundtrack.

Same here.  I've stopped letting myself watch it because it always ends badly (no pun intended).
