Back from the pedi

She poked and prodded first while DD was on my lap but wasn't getting much of a response so she put her on her lap and that's when DD started reacting to the prodding.  She said she didn't feel a dislocation but sent us for x-rays.  Both she and the radiologist didn't see anything on the scans so she said to call Saturday (they have clinic hours then) and let her know if she is still in pain.  She said there was a chance that if there was a dislocation that when she was examining her it popped back into place.  But neither of us heard a pop or anything, so who knows.  If that did fix it she should start using it in a few hours.

So now we wait and see.  Hopefully it was either fixed already or gets better.  I hate that we don't have any answers but at least we know it wasn't broken or anything.

  • Poor little one! I hope she starts showing signs that it is all better soon!

  • Well it's good that it doesn't seem to currently be bothering her but it sucks not having any answers. Fingers crossed for you that it isn't bothering her anymore.

  • Gah! The mystery continues. Here's hoping she starts using that hand! I'm sorry you're dealing with such a frustrating thing. :(

It is still bothering her.  She still won't use it.  She just clams up with the doctor so of course I wasn't sure if she'd even believe me!

  • I hope it's nothing / fixed!  Don't hesitate to bring her back in if she's still favoring it on Saturday, though - I'm having luvlie & C flashbacks. (although M sounds much better than C did)

I won't.  I was thinking the same thing about Luvlie/C and hoping that they figure it out sooner than in their case.  A month is a long time, especially because she won't use it to drink so I have to hold her sippy cup for her.
