I'm SO excited! Monday is our 15 week appointment and I'm hoping...hoping...hoping they have issued with the doppler again so I can do another ultrasound to find out the sex of the baby! :-)
I started my pregnancy about 25 lbs. overweight and she could not find the doppler at 11 weeks. I have seen our LO in four ultrasounds now and the heartbeat was 171 at 11 weeks. I just want to hear it sooo bad. My at-home Bebeb Sounds does not work until the end of the second trimester. My old doctors office in Seattle did ultrasounds at each appointment at no cost...I miss their office. This one says it's risky. But the one I'm going to in Fargo says monthly is just fine.
I'm definately feeling pregnant now. I can't sleep on my back because I literally feel my uterus settle backwards and the pressure feels really strange. I don't want to crow the LO and sleep on my tummy so I'm trying to sleep on my side. Last night it worked and I got 6 hours sleep. It was wonderful!
I have decided to request the Quad test. Just (and only) for the reason of settling my mind. If anything is wrong I will request a level 2 ultrasound so we can prepare ourselves. But I'm very confident all will be well as here are no genetic disorder issues within our families. I'm 37 but the doctor says there is an increase risk at 35 but seeing I'm so close to that she's not concerned. But she talked me out of the NT Scan because (to her) if I was not willing to do an amnio she would not let me. I'm still unhappy about this but Bismarck is a small town so I'm staying with her for this month and then establishing care in Fargo (where we will be living once my husband is done at the academy) for mynext monthly visit in early February.
I'm going to request my big ultrasound for 18 weeks.
Off to buy a new bra, pregnancy bathing suit and get ready for Christmas 2 this Sunday with my husbands family (we were in Canada to visit my family). I love shopping for gifts!!!
PS - thanks for all your bra suggestions. I put Bio Oil on my BB's before I went to sleep last night and they don't hurt this AM. Just in case anyone else is looking for a cure as well.
