So we're wanting to do a deep cleaning before LO arrives. By "we" I mean hiring someone to do it or having family members tackle it lol. But what exactly should this cleaning consist of?
I know LO won't be crawling around anytime soon but we would like to get the carpets all shampooed just to eliminate dirt and allergens. However, that means moving all the furniture and we don't really have time or space for that...especially with a few inches of snow on the ground. Should we do a deep cleaning and then when it gets warmer (and LO gets more mobile) get the carpets shampooed?!
We've lived in this house for 4 months, it was basically vacant for about 3 months before that and for the past 40 years my great grandma lived there and kept it very clean.
Re: deep cleaning?!
My mother is coming in this weekend to help get the house ready for the baby. I thought I was doing a pretty good job but the less I have to do the better. We are doing everything BUT the carpet. It is nasty here right now and DH is planning on shampooing the carpets sometime March after the nasty weather is over and after we have lots of visitors when LO arrives. However, they were cleaned six months ago.
