Hey, Im sorry to hear you have crohns.....how did the surgery go for you?

I have something called short segment hirschprung disease, and I also have lupus. Short segment means that I have had it since birth, and I have been living with it, but it is not an emergency. I can only poop like one a month, without intervention. But, I use differnent meds daily to help. My GI surgeon said that since I am doing faily ok (but still miserable) I should wait until I have children bc in my short 4'8 90 pound frame of a body it would put too much strain on the anastamosis and possibly lead to rupture. My lupus is very under control (after like 4 years on chronic prednisone), which I thank God daily for. So here I sit, waiting semi-patiently for God to bless me with children.  sorry that was so long
