Year in Review

Good morning ladies! I'm stuck at work and the snow is coming down like crazy! Let's recap our year shall we?

January: BFP on January 12th!!! Told family and close friends. Celebrated our 10 year anniversary on January 19th.

February: First prenatal appointment on February 9th. Got to see our little bean on u/s, cried like crazy! Told a few more people.

March: Nausea finally subsided. Told my job about the baby.

April: 2nd trimester, feeling great, started my registry.

May: Big u/s on May 2nd, it's a girl!!!! Finished up my registry and added like 50 million pink items, lol.

June: Found out I had gestational diabetes (booo). Freaked out for a bit but quickly calmed down and accepted it. Commemorated the 5 year anniversary of my grandmother's passing. Was super emotional because I realized that I would have given anything to have her here and to meet DD. Found out that DD is breech.

July: Baby shower on July 26th. The heat is starting to get to me and I dread taking the hot ass subway everyday!

August: Start putting together baby gear and packing my hospital bag. Found out that I would have a scheduled c-section because DD was still breech. Getting sick of all the appointments with the GD doctor and the bi-weekly NST's. I did love all the u/s's though. Celebrated my 31st birthday!

September: Had DD on September 8th! Had a smooth c-section and a quick healing process. Still can't believe we have a baby!! Start packing in preparation for our move to a bigger place.

October: Move into our new place! Spend lots of time with DD and also unpacking. DD is starting to sleep longer at night which makes us very happy, lol.

November: Went back to work on November 23rd. Horrible, horrible day! We can't believe how fast time is going by and how much DD is growing and changing!

December: Spent our first Christmas with DD and loved every minute of it. Looking back on the best year of my life and looking forward to the rest!

January: spent NYE and the days following with close friends in North Carolina

February: DH received his regional assignment (He was finishing seminary) and we started to tell our friends we were expecting (BFP in mid-December)

March: I started to eat again and could stay awake past 5pm

April: Decided I would take the whole 2009-2010 school year off for maternity leave.  DH was assigned to the synod we lived in at the time - so thankful we wouldn't have to move far from our families!

May: I turned 27.  DH graduated from Seminary and begin the call process with a church.

June: Finished up my school year, DH was called to a church, we moved into the church parsonage one week before our lease ran out at our apartment.  It was a big month!

July: DH starts work, I put in some summer days at school, DH travels to New Orleans for a week and my mom stays with me in case I go into labor!

August: DH is ordained as a pastor one week before my due date. Due date comes and goes.  Andrew was born a week "late" on August 21!

September: Hardly remember anything from this month - I was dealing with serious baby blues.

October: Visit my grandparents in Western PA so they can meet Andrew.  Stopped at a few friends homes along the way.

November: Andrew baptized on the 15th.  Thanksgiving with both sides of the family and he handles it beautifully.

December: Christmas time has been wonderful.  Lots of time with family, decorating our beautiful home.  Andrew becomes more and more interesting every day.  I can't believe how much he's grown and changed.  I look forward to seeing what 2010 brings for us.
