I asked for and received this cookbook for Christmas. I'm always looking for new recipes to add to our dinner options that are quick and easy. All of the recipes are 30 minutes from start to finish including prep and cook time. I went through it last night and marked the recipes I wanted to try and I ran out of stick its!
They are all super easy and call for common ingredients. I actually had the ingredients on hand to make a Tamale pie and it was delish! (ground beef, ro-tel, onions, black beans and cornbread mix).
The other thing I really like about it is that it gives you quick shortcuts to make the meals cook faster but taste like you spent longer cooking them.
I highly recommend it!
Re: NBR - Cookbook rec
I LOVE America's Test Kitchen Cookbooks! I have their Family Baking Book and it has never ever let me down - now I'll have to try to find this one.
Thanks for the rec!
I'm a big fan of fast and easy cooking. I work 9 hour days and commute 1.5 hours each way so I don't really have a lot of time during the week.
I'm also a big fan of thepioneerwoman.com. I've tried several of her receipes and they've all been great.
