Newbie with a question about CD

Hi I am looking for someone who has used both FuzziBunz one size and BG AIO and had a strong opinion for one or the other.  Also if you used BG AIO how many of each size did you order?  I know each baby is different but how quickly did LO out grow smaller size?  I am just trying to do some research into how much we need to save for CDing.  TIA

Re: Newbie with a question about CD

  • Personally my FB one size is my least favorite diaper!  I use only one size pockets and love my smartipants and LOVE my rocky mountain diapers.  The second row of snaps on the FB just annoy me.  They hold everything in well, and it is pretty and I won it, so the price was great, but I am not a huge fan of it.  But then again, DD is tiny, so maybe when she gets bigger I will like it more?  It is the last diaper I reach for and I have actually used disposables instead to be honest.
    Good luck!

  • I can't answer this question about the two types of CD's you have.  We use BG OS and HH OS plus some PF's and a couple others sporadically.  However, on how much to save.  You can get a decent pocket stash (not including wipes and wetbags) for about $500-$600.  Add in wipes and a couple wetbags and tack on another $100 for good measure.  Also, OS diapers will not fit a newborn so you'd still need something for that stage like PF's with covers/wool or spend roughly $300 (I'm guesstimating because this is what we spent since DS went through before we got on board with CDing) on sposies.
  • Oh and DS moved up to medium around 4-6 months and large around 9-10 months roughly.  He needed to move up though in the rise more than for weight.  He's leaned out a lot as he's grown so his waist is still set pretty small even though he's at the largest setting for rise because of height (and age obviously).
  • Just to add some info about FBs - we don't have the one-size but we have sized and at one year, DD is still fitting into her size Small FBs.  They fit her at 12 lbs and fit her now.  So it seems like it will cost a lot, but really we have 4 Mediums and we can JUST use them now super stuffed for nighttime.  You can always find sized FBs really cheap on Spots, through Jillian's Drawers, etc.  I haven't spent more than I think $9 on a FB yet.
