TTC After a Loss

Had my beta drawn today

to confirm my CP.  I know it'll be 0 since I've already had AF and I'm pretty sure I O'd already.

But, the nurse totally bruised the hell out of my arm.  I went at 10 this morning and it's still super sore, bled like crazy after and has a bruise the size of a grapefruit.  WTH?

Re: Had my beta drawn today

  • I'm sorry that she dug for oil today!! Sadistic nurses seem to gravitate to blood draws it seems

  • dude as if the process isn't hard enough as it is you have a grapefruit on your arm???  are you serious?

if that is true you might need some medical attention.

  • I am always amazes how it never fails that I get the nurse who couldn't find a vein if I pulled one out and placed the needle in for her.  I walked around with a huge bruise like yours for days.  Sorry it still hurts!

  • The bruise is huge.  I didn't notice it until I changed my shirt earlier.  She did it on the inside of my elbow on the right side.  It is so gross.  She put the needle in the skin then started moving it around under the skin to find blood.

  • that happens to me all the time.  She probably used to big of a needle and then moving it around in there surely didn't help.  So sorry, I hope it feels better in the morning.

  • That's what I think too.  Normally they use the baby needles.  It isn't the first time it's happened, and I'm sure it won't be the last.  *sigh*

  • Ugh, I am so sorry.  It should get better on its own (I think) but she sure did a number on your veins.  I have a problem with "searching" for a vein that way - esp. with too large of a needle.  It really damages the vessels!

I hope that you are feeling better soon.  (((HUGS)))
