BR: Protein in urine

I forgot to add that last night I had a little in there.  Nurse said not to worry yet, but to keep an eye if I start swelling.  My BP is still good at 100/60.  Does anyone know why this happens?  And is there something I'm not supposed to eat that would prevent it?

Re: BR: Protein in urine

  • it can be caused by dehydration. If your BP is okay you are probably fine. Good luck!

  • What cindy said. Wink  In the meantime add in some more water but don't drink it plain.  Add in some lemon juice or Emergen-C.  It will help it absorb better.

Also, make sure you are getting enough protein.  I know...I say that all the time.  But really is does help to hold off pre-e.

Chiro today recommended the Brewer's Diet so I'll add more eggs and cheese to the rotation right now.  I had a roast beef sandwich at lunch.  Bland and blech!

  • What PP said and make sure you are eating at regular intervals.  With starvation, your body breaks down muscles and that spills more protein and your kidneys can't handle it.
