Random Burned cookie question

Soooo I burned one tray of the peanut butter cookies. Apparently, Mrs. Logic over here still doesn't realize that cookies on the bottom rack will cook faster...*Sigh* I digress.

How terrible is sugar or all the things in peanut butter cookies for dogs? Because I'm looking at them, thinking, if I cut them in 4ths or halves, my peanut-butter-loving-pooch would not notice that they are hockey pucks. Just as occasional treat to not waste them?

  • I don't see why they would hurt her. I say try one and see what happens.

  • I would say they are probably about like dog treats you can get in a store.  Not "good" for them, but fine as treats.  Just don't make a meal out of them.
  • At one point in time my dog went crazy for sugar cookies.  I actually cooked a sheet of them (6 small cookies) for her.

I think it will be fine.

  • They were small to begin with. I gave her half. I don't think she's been as happy since New Years, when she got 3 toys in her stocking. Sweet. At least they won't go to waste :P
  • Well you must have a normal dog. My dog is a nerd and is allergic to peanuts. I would guess they would be ok though.
  • Are you sure your dog is OK w/ 'em?

Dawg is allergic to PB.  It's lots of fun /sarcasm.

  • Lucy always licks the spoon after we make a PB&J with no issues :)
  • oh good.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one w/ a dog who drew the short straw though...it was very bad to give it to Dawg.  She tries to lick off her paw pads and has butt issues if she gets into it.  But she LURVES it.

Can I just say that when I look at your ticker, my tummy gets butterflies? <3

    Mine too.

I need to not overthink for a while...I see the nurse midwife on the 15th :-)
