Hi. My screen name is Bebeblues. (Bethany)

I'm from Ky, so I'm a country bumpkin', southern belle, etc.

I graduated from college in 2006 w/my BA in Elem. Ed. I taught for a yr before circumstances led to me becoming a sahm to dd. I wouldn't trade my job as a sahm for anything.

I was married young---I was only 19 and dh 21---but we've made it through A LOT of thick and thin times......We've been married for 8 yrs.

We conceived dd on our first try. She's now 2 1/2. We had just went off b/c pills, and instead of AF, we got bfp#2 last Jan. It ended in a d&c in Feb. We stopped tta off/on in April, and full force started ttc in June. Been here since.

I just started temping, so I'm hoping that'll help me step up my game.

Well...

My screen name is vflipo (Valeri).

I'm from AZ, been here my whole life! The rest of my fam is from NY and for the life of me I cannot figure out what compelled them to move from the east coast where you actually have 4 seasons to AZ where it's summer for 10 months and chilly for 2...

I'm still in college! I'm a pre-med student hoping to be a pediatric endocrinologist someday. I still have a long road ahead but with any luck I can complete all of my "training" here in AZ without moving...

I was also married young at 19 but DH is a tad bit older. I'm now 21 and he's 28. We have been married for 2 years and 2 months We bought our first house a month before we got married but I didn't move in until after the big day. I'm traditional like that

We were going to wait to start TTC until I was 23 but I can't wait anymore... I finally convinced DH we should start trying ASAP. We sort of tried in October but not really. Our first real attempt in November was successful (for a few weeks at least). I just m/c on Christmas day But we're definitely excited to try again! DH can't wait until I'm "all better." (I think it's for reasons not related to fertilizing an egg though...) Doc gave us the go ahead to TTC after 1 cycle but we might wait until March. We'll see... I want to wait now but that could change in a few weeks.

Waiting is hard.

I had dd at 25, and would've had baby#2 at 27, but that didn't work out. We're apparently having tttc now. Never thought I would. Obviously I didn't in the past. We got lucky on basically first tries both times (without temping, opts, etc).

Ah, well.....that's life, right?

I think it's awesome you're pre-med. My little sis is graduating w/her BA in May and going on to be a Physican's Asst.

I'm hoping to have a couple more children b4 going back to get my MA degree in Education and working again. I plan to stay home until all my children are in school. (Atleast until my last is in pre-school).

We're hoping to build a home next summer. Hoping. I can't wait for the new year. By spring I should know a lot more about what our plans will be. (Also hoping to be ku by then!)

Don't feel bad about the intro---I didn't intro. myself first time either. I had to back up and do an intro so that everyone caught on to who I was.

Haha thanks! I'm glad you compelled me to create a little intro... Now people don't have to wonder who this weird inappropriate chick is. I would love to be a SAHM, at least while I go to school (I guess that's not really a full sahm but close enough). And congrats to your sister! I considered becoming a PA just because of how long it takes to become an MD!! It's insane and DH is not always happy when I remind him how many years are left until I start practicing  

What are you going to teach?! Good luck to you on all of your future plans Building a home is soo fun but it's such a long process. I felt like my house was never going to be finished! But I love it and it was well worth the wait

As excited as I am about building, I dread it too. I'm so impatient that we've actually been looking at modulars & pre-fabs. I'm pretty picky though---mostly bc I've waited so darn long. (we had planned to build over 3-4 yrs ago and one thing after another happened and we didn't get to)........

Yep, my sis chose P.A. school bc med school takes so long. She could actually finish as an O.D. here at a local college, but she can be finished and out in 27 months w/the P. A. program. After she did some volunteer time w/a local P.A. at a clinic, she opted for P.A.----she's hoping to get out and get some of her student loans pd. b4 she gets married and starts a family......so I think she's got a pretty good plan. She's 23, so it's very do-able.

Most of the prefabs and stuff have so much wasted space these days I wouldn't even bother with them. My sister's house has this random room that you can't do anything with and it's just laid out really weird. We found a lot of that while we were looking too. Maybe it's just where we live but I swear the people who design these houses are retards...

Your sister seems like a very intelligent girl I'm crazy to want a kid while going to med school, or so I've been told. But I'd rather do it now than wait till I'm old and out of school (not that I'd be really old but... I'd be older than I'd like to be). I'm not even sure how I'll be able to manage one since I go to school and work FT right now and have about 0 hours of free time ever. I guess I'll just have to cut out work who needs money when you have love?!

Yeah, I've only found one floor plan of a Modular that I like. It's pretty nice----but I'm pretty sure I can have it built for the price that they want and it comes w/o a garage and a finished upstairs if I do the Modular------so I may just have to be more patient. We'll see. Hopefully we'll have a plan laid out by Easter. That's our goal.

My ob/gyn was ku and had her first child while in med school. Her dh is a surgeon and was doing his residency when she was ku. Her theory is that if they can do it, anyone can. My theory is the same----dh and I were making the most $$ we've ever made when I was ku w/dd. I got a job teaching in a temp. position when she was 5 wks old. I ended up getting laid off due to state cutbacks that May and dh was laid off in June. We went from a very stable position to poverty in the drop of a hat. Our savings was depleted and we learned to live off of near nothing.....but, we survived and dh is getting his job reinstated soon. (He was union and was wrongfully suspended which led to wrongful termination).

If anything, I've learned that life can throw some curve balls, u just gotta learn how to swing the bat!
