she's flown everywhere and she's a great flier. but today she flies and she is three hours in a line with 200 people being frisked by 4 airport workers. then the PILOT and the flight attendants are yelling at everyone -- they are obviously stressed -- and plus they are also telling people the turbulence is going to be no joke on the flight. and they are right -- the turbulence was no joke.
she has an awful flight, but lands safely. I'm already scared of planes and I have no f'ing idea how I will get back on again. I am actually glad about the extra security, but damn...
Re: post # 1, friend flew in from England
The only difference about flying today versus yesterday is that is it SAFER today!!!
Sure, more of a hassle. And takes longer. But SAFER!
gibs, I agree. she is not a whiner though, seriously. she didn't mind the extra security. but it was tense. the pilot and attendants were very, very tense and that is what shook her up. plus the plane was doing some major drops.
I want an airline to be the risky take your chances airline..that is the one I'll enjoy flying on!
what terrorist would really want to bomb the plane that acts like it doesn't care?
"big whoop, bomberpants! you blew up a plane with no security measures," the other terrorists would laugh!
"lets see you take down the one that pats down your wife's chest and sticks a hand up your ass!"
Their terrorist pride would keep them from attacking Devil May Care Air, and so it would be safest of all.
I HATE the taking off your shoes thing. it is ruining my life. Also, the air cows are total b!tches, even the male ones.
I usually get searched and frisked because of my metal leg. I'd rather they do that to make sure the flight is safe.
