Back from my OB appt. (Long)

I love my OB, she is the sweetest person ever. Her BFF had a stillbirth last year so she totally gets me (even though she has 5 healthy kids herself- and is only 3 years older than me, wtf).

Anyway, we went over some old loss stuff, and she def wants me to take Lovenox next pregnancy. There was some controversy over it between her, my hematologist, and MFM, since none of them think my clotting problems caused my loss, so I'm glad to hear this is her decision. She said researchers sometimes think if "only" 10 women have a loss b/c of clotting disorders, then it's not significant... obvs she sees the wrongness of that when it comes to an actual person, thank God! She said the risk is so minimal we might as well try it.

Also, she checked my thyroid and prolactin levels to see if they were affecting ovulation. Results should be in tomorrow. I told her I have always been someone with not a lot of energy, and I feel tired a lot, and apparently that's the main symptom of a thyroid problem.

If those tests come back normal, then I call her on CD1 next time and we're going straight to Clomid. This lady isn't messing around! I feel good to have a plan finally, at least it's not all in my crazy head that there might actually be a problem here.

That's great your appt went well and that you have a plan! It's such a great feeling! I might be starting clomid next cycle too. It better work magic on both of us, dammit!

That is great you have an OB who is proactive! Hopefully everything is normal with your thyroid and prolactin levels.

Also, I think I say this to everyone who is on lovenox or will be on it, if for some reason you're lovenox is really expensive, even with insurance, make sure you check out the mail-in prescription number on your insurance card, I went though mail-in and saved about $480 a month.

Thanks for that tip! My next item today is checking into this exact issue... and Clomid...
