Working harder post ml?

Ever since I returned to work (6 wks pp) I have felt different about my job. I feel like I have to work twice as hard to prove myself. I have been with this company for 3+ years but I feel like some of my co-workers see my ml as an extra long vacation I got to take. I am also working shorter hours (ubntil Jan 4) and trying to fit everything in that I can but I feel like it is never sufficient. I am not getting paid on a full salary, I have moved hourly until I am back full time (next week, already, eek!) so I find it unfair to be expected to do 40-45 hours worth of work in a mere 25 hours.

Man, I feel like whining today. But it just isn't fair.

Re: Working harder post ml?

  • Hang in there. I get that impression at my place of work too. Like now when I am sick or DD is sick, it's like "Well you already took off for 8 weeks what else do you want?"
  • I felt that way when I first went back. But everything will settle down again. It is esp hard for you right now, as you said you are only working PT.  When you are back on a normal schedule for a little bit people will forget.
