Random Question....Altoona, PA is that near State College? I have a friend at PSU and she tells me that Altoona is the nearest "metropolis"...and I'd never heard of Altoona until then and now I see you live there....small world!

    I've never really thought of us as a metropolis..but yeah, we're about 30-45 minutes from State College so not very far away at all.  No one has EVER heard of Altoona, it's a little railroaders town..all we have is railroad and restaurants..

    And apparently the nearest Joanns to State College!!! at least I think that's what my friend said!! I'd never heard of Altoona before she moved there....

    really??  no joann's in State College...if she's looking for fabric, tell her to check our Surplus City, it's between Altoona and State College but you have to be willing to search around a bit ihn there
