2nd Trimester

If this is baby #2

Are you getting a double stroller?  I found a Graco duoglide on Craigslist for $100....I don't know if I should just get it or wait until after the baby is born.  I'm scared of getting one and then finding that I could have gotten by with my regular single stroller...

Re: If this is baby #2

  • I'm thinking of getting a sit and stand..DS will only sit in the stroller half the time now. I'm going to wait till right before #2 is born before I make a final decision I think.

  • I'm getting an Ergo in the hopes I can wear a baby and push Jack in his single.

I am waiting to see how Jack is about staying in a stroller closer to the time when baby is born.   If he still likes to stay in a stroller seat at 2+ years, then I'll get a double.

  • We haven't started researching yet but for sure will be purchasing a double stroller.

From what I've heard they can be pricey. Seems like a good deal though.

  • I thought about the one where they could sit....but no.  DS#1 will be 3, and already we don't use a stroller for him.

  • I was given one (and just discovered that my infant seat can snap in to it!), but I will be looking into a 'sit & stand' once DC #2 is a little older (spring 2011 or so). I will probably use my sling for baby and umbrella for DD in the early months though.
  • i'm not planning on it, i'm just keeping my single BOB.  my daughter will be 32 months when baby #2 arrives though.  i have a beco for carrying the baby on walks if my daughter wants to ride in the BOB, but i imagine that she'll just want to walk on her own because she's pretty darn independent already.
  • We are going to get one. My DD likes to sit in the stroller at the end of long outings (e.g. zoo, big parks near us). I am trying to find one where she can see/face the baby, because she is baby obsessed and I know she won't be happy unless she can see what's going on. I can only carry the baby in a carrier for so long, plus it's somewhere to put the diaper bag:)

Now I just need to figure out what stroller this is that meets all of my needs!

  • I plan to use my single to get around but am definitely getting a double for walks around the neighborhood.  I don't think there's any way a double of any kind will fit in my car anyways, but walking is my main form of exercise, so I plan to keep it up with baby #2 as well.
  • You will need a double stroller.  Trust me,  life saver!   My DD was 14 months when we had my DS and we used it until my DD was almost 3 1/2,  then it got to heavy to push both of them around.  we got a graco double stroller and it was awesome!.

  • We already purchased one actually.  I thought it was a bit early, but I REALLY loved it, and it was a clearance item down from around $350 to $150 and I thought I couldn't beat it.  I couldn't imagine carrying a baby in a carrier all the time after carrying in my belly for all that time plus the hassle, and I certainly didn't want to bother with a sit n stand- I mean y pay the extra for it, when it's really the same as them walking, and what if they fall asleep somewhere, I'd just as soon pay the extra and get a real one!
