I wonder the same thing. She put up with it much longer that i would have, kid or no kid.

It reminds me a lot of my first marriage when I was 18 and right out of high school. You keep going back because sometimes its all you know and you want to make it right for the kids. If I knew then what I know now, it'd be a WHOLE lot different.

She grew up because she had a child and he refuses to do so.  It just seems that he doesn't want to be alone.  I also think that she's getting pressured by their parents because they "should" be together because they have a child.  I can't imagine being in anything that dramatic at that age.

I know the feeling of instantly 'growing up' after becoming a mom and DH NOT so fast...it did get a lot better (I know in MOST cases, not) but i think in her case, NOT.

Ugh, I wish I could call her and tell her not to waste her time. Her and her DS are much better off without the drama of douche bag dad's crap...
