needle/thread gender test

in 2nd Trimester
have you done it and was it accurate? you know, the test where someone dangles a needle and thread over your wrist or belly? My DH's aunt did it to me the other day. My u/s isn't until next Thursday. Just curious. Thanks!!

    mine wasn't. it went back and forth and then in circles, then back and forth again. who knows maybe there is another baby in there we just haven't seen yet!

    Had it done and it was wrong!!  All of the OWT predicted girl and we found out yesterday he's a boy!!
    Baby #3 is on the way!

    My best friend tried it on me. Though it was my wedding band on a string. It went back and forth over my belly which she said was girl. Big U/S came and she's all girl. To this day it still goes back and forth...another pregnant lady tested it on me and her. Both back and forth. *shrugs* I'm not sure if it was sheer luck or what. But, it was fun to try. Wouldn't rely on it though ;-)

    I've heard it both ways.  The version I read most recently said that circles= boy and back/ forth= girl.  When my mom did it on Xmas it went back and forth.  Just found out we're having a girl.

    Thanks ladies! Seriously, who did come up with this?? I think it's kind of silly, but my DH's aunt and all his family swear by it. I hope she is wrong just to prove a point! :) It went back and forth, and she said that meant boy for me!

    My SIL did it on me back when we were all first married and I already had DS1. It said 2 boys and low and behold, my 1st and 2nd are boys. She did it again the week before my u/s and it said 2 boys and a girl, so it was wrong this time since this third baby is all boy.
