HELP!! .4dv files - U/S pictures...

in 2nd Trimester

So I received a CD with all my pictures for the "gender" ultra sound today.  I cannot open them however due to how they were saved.  (.4dv)  After I googled it came up as GE ultrasound machine files.  Duh!  How can I view them to get all my pictures??

Anyone help?

    Can you open with paint shop and resave as a JPG?

    I have a mac.  hmmm.. I am going to try to fin "paint" and do that.

    Normally with programs like paint you can open files like that and just save them as a JPG. Otherwise there might be a downloadable program for free that would change the format over as well.

    Can you import them on IPhoto?  Then edit and save(even if you don't make any changes you need to save) then they will automatically be JPEGs which are easier to work with!

    Is there a program that comes on the CD?  I got CT Scan images on a disk once and I had to install a special program that could open it up... then I used that program to save the files as .jpg

    No program.  I tired iPhoto first thing when I got home.  The DVD they gave me works but how can I freeze those pictures to make photos.  I am so lost and frustrated it won't work for me.

    Apple+Shift+4 will take a screen shot - it'll give you a crosshairs that you can drag to whatever size you want.  You can also do Apple+Shift+3 and it'll capture the whole screen and you can crop it later.

    is it only playing as a slide show?  Can you open the disc in finder then File/Open with/preview(or similar program)?  You may be able to save from there.  I love Macs, but sometimes I wish I had a PC because fixing these kinds of things is soo much easier!

    The Apple+Shifts aren't working.  Everything is blanked.  I am going to try it in iMovie
