ikea glider alternative

DH and I are trying to decide if we really would want a glider or not....we are having trouble finding one that is comfy in our price range. We are considering getting a POANG chair from IKEA with an ottoman.

Not really my style, but those POANG chairs are super comfy! And fun to bounce in.

I love our POANG, but the arms aren't padded so it may not be as comfortable during BFing as a glider with padded armrests. Baby Bargains says that since you'll be spending so much time in the chair/glider, you should really invest in something with padded arms.

If rocking isn't your style, then I would just get a really comfortable chair. I don't know how comfortable those POANG chairs are, but you are going to be sitting in it quite a bit so make sure that you'll want to!

I have three Poang chairs (I got the first one almost 10 years ago and is still just as comfortable as the new one!) and I just love them. There is a slight bounce factor but they aren't rocking chairs. I fully plan on moving one upstairs into the baby's room when the time comes. If you're not picky about the color - check out the as-is department at IKEA the next time you're there. I picked up two of them (at different times) for $49 each - and one was with the ottoman.
