2nd Trimester

Discharge Question Maybe TMI

I have had a lot of discharge this last month.  So much I have to wear a panty liner or else my underwear and pants are wet!  The last 2 weeks I have noticed that my white pantyliner is not white by the end of the day.  It is a light brown.  I thought light spotting was okay as long as it was not a lot or there was cramping.  I do not have any cramping.  My friend has been having the same issues and went to the dr and they just admitted her to the hospital for a low fluid.  I am worried to call the dr and ask about my issues.  My husband is deployed and I dont want to freak him out while he is gone if there is nothing to be concerned about.  Anyone else had this issue??

Re: Discharge Question Maybe TMI

  • A couple of days ago someone posted that she was experiencing the same issue and several other ladies told her that their dried discharge (on the pantyliner) was a light brown color also.. maybe it's possible that this is normal? I don't have any personal experience though

  • I had this and started changing the liner midday and it was no longer darker.  I think it is just because it dries ... but I could be wrong.

If I were you I would call your dr. office and tell them whats going on then you can get in and see them. You need to make sure there isnt a serious problem. I wouldnt tell your husband just yet until you know what is going on. You dont want him to worry even more when he is over there. Thats what I would do my husband is deployed too.

  • I would at least mention it to my doc if I were you. It could be just extra discharge from being pregnant or an infection or something entirely different. I would mention it to your doctor before you worry your husband with it since it may be nothing to worry about anyway.
