I was just thinking that if we got KU on our first try (which will hopefully be in February), I'd be due in November.

I had a brief (I swear, it was fleeting!) moment of 'shit_, that's inconvenient for being a teacher'

When I was KU the first time I smugly thought 'I'm a teacher and I'm due in the summer, how convenient for me!'

God, I suck.

haha.  I totally do the same thing.  If I get KTFU this cycle (which is looking less and less likely) or next, I will screw myself out of a year end bonus for two years because of the way my maternity leave would fall.  I was so excited when I got KU the first time because I had timed it perfectly to only ruin one year. 

I suck too.  We can be ashamed together.

I've recently thought about a potential due date interfering with my BFF's wedding I'm supposed to be in.

And my first pg was perfect timing...I'd have the baby just in time for my 30th birthday that H has planned a huge party for and I'd be able to drink all the wine from 1980 that I've assembled.

I try to tell myself that the "good" part about it is that if it doesn't happen in the first couple months, the timing only gets better and better over the 12 months.

Basically, our first try would wind up in the least conveniently timed pregnancy, and if it took us like 9 months to get a BFP, it'd be the perfectly timed pregnancy.

I'm hoping that'll take the sting out of BFNs...being able to think 'oh well, next month is better timing anyways'

I do the same thing all the time...I figure it out and then try to figure out if it convenient...How dare i!!! Well if we get a bfp this cycle I would be due 9-21-10...Which would work out great, just before our anniversary...

That is ok!  I do the same thing all of the time.  My last pg, I was due during the summer and I was so excited about it...  Now, I think, if I get pregnant now, it will be in the middle of deer season (DH is a big hunter...) LOL!  That sounds so stupid!  hahahahahaha.....

DH said the other day that when he realized my pregnancy was timed perfectly for me to be due in the summer AND perfectly for me to be 12w1d on Christmas day (to tell the family)....he thought to himself "this isn't going to work out....it's *too* perfect."

How sad that he was right.

I do the same thing.  I keep thinking if I am lucky and blessed enough to get KU this cycle, I'll only have a month to get ready for my 10 year reunion

I thought mine was too easy and too perfect.

We got pg on the first cycle we really tried. I was going to be just 13 weeks at T-day and we were going to be home in CT to tell my family in person. 

And the timing couldn't have been better...my temporary promotion at work ending coincided with my due date so I wouldn't have to leave either that position or my normal job in a lurch, and I'd be free to drink for my 30th and be ok to be in Bff's wedding. 

Yep, it was just too good to be true.

You know, it's NOT FAIR, because FHs are free to actually care about this _shit, but we're in this position where we feel guilty if we even THINK about *caring* about our due date.

Totally agree...

If it happens this cycle, I will have achieved the goal of get KU before the age of 30.

But I am with you on the teacher aspect. I actually changed all of my school concert dates so that I would be able to get the Spring concerts in before my EDD. Now I am hoping for a beginning of the year due date. I keep thinking this would ruin my first half of the year with recruiting and such. But I don't really care- I want this baby!

My EDD for this BFP is right on the week of our family vacation - 20 ppl - in a house.  Our $$ was due this week - we paid our money even though we are hoping we won't be going!

Yes beginning of school year. I was due the 11th of May. I have 3 coworkers who are due then. They are lovely reminders...

I will gladly take a September baby though! Then at least I won't have to do back to school night!

I was so happy with my timing, I was due April 29th, but I figured I would be late, putting us in May, which would be our 1 year wedding anniversary, and my favourite month.

I just love May, but I'll take whatever I can get now.

Late April/Early May would be PERFECT for me as well. The only months that wouldn't be convenient are (from most-least inconvenient): Aug/Sept/Oct/Nov

I feel the same way. I was so happy about my July due date because I wouldn't have to take any maternity leave (sick days in my county) and I'd be off work for the last few weeks of my preg to rest and prepare. Too perfect indeed. Now I'm hoping I'll be due near Christmas break if I'm lucky.

Honestly I am glad I am not the only one..... Summers for me at work are BUSY at best.... stressful and right when we got to TTCA I put it off because I was worried that it would be hard to take off time in the summer (I am the breadwinner in the house) and so now I am with crossed fingers for any date that will have my EDD after Oct but before (sigh) Feb of 2011.... heres wishin.....

This is funny because I did the same thing. Well, actually, I had it pointed out to me by my friend at work, "Wow, you're due in May...that's so perfect because you can take your six weeks of leave and then just stay off through the summer!"  Yeah, it was perfect, until the m/c!  This cycle, I kept telling myself, watch, I'll probably get KU because the timing just sucks for being a teacher.  I'm due Sept 3rd!!  Which I don't even mind now, I just want a healthy baby (and it's my mom's birthday, which is kinda cool), but seriously, any teacher knows how much it sucks to be gone the first few months of school.  We'll just make it work!
