I'm *from* Ohio. I did undergrad there too. Moved to Iowa for vet school. Met DH when I was finding my first job, which happened to be in PA. We now live in Lancaster County. Love it!

I grew up in Erie County but live in CT now. PA is great. I would try to talk DH into moving back if the jobs were a little more plentiful.
I guess it all depends on what you do. I have a stable job in a great practice (I'm a veterinarian). DH had a little difficulty finding a job when he lost his a year ago, but ended up just going with "a job" instead of a "dream job." Plan is for him to only work part-time when baby arrives, so not having a "dream job" is okay for now.
It took me some time to get used to the buggies (Amish), but now, it's just an every day occurrence and doesn't bother me at all.

There are so many political issues in Erie. They used to be a booming blue collar town but all of the big industries are leaving so there's not many good paying jobs left there. DH has a good job in CT so we are staying here for now.
Aww, the Amish! We used to have Amish kids go to school with us (for a very short time back in grade school). I'm not exactly sure how that worked but they were there. I haven't seen a buggy in years. There aren't as many in the Erie area now as there were when I was growing up.
