Glucose test was high...

Ugh!  So I went and had my 1 hour glucose test yesterday.  Today my doctor called and told me my level was 5 "points" over. Bummer!  Now I get the joy of experiencing a 3 hour test.  Hopefully, it was just a one time thing and my levels will go back to normal.

i had the same result with dd #1 and passed the 3 hour.  the 3 hour really isn't bad - just bring magazines and a dvd player and enjoy some quiet time.

Thank you for saying that...it gives me a bit of peace of mind.  I am just really nervous about it, since diabetes does run in my family.  I will for sure load my self down with a couple of magazines, a good book and a portable DVD is a good idea.  Thanks!

 I did.  I went fairly early in the morning and had nothing but water.  Thank you- I am crossing my fingers that I pass!

im so sorry.. did you have the test in your drs office or in a lab? im wondering as i had my test too today and havent heard anything yet..

I haven't had mine yet but my Dr told me it is common to blow the first one and pass the 3 hour test

I'm sorry! That sucks. I go for mine tomorrow. My doctor told my I don't have to fast or do anything differently. Is that unusual?
