Confession: I HATE trying to register for baby stuff

I'm a 1st time mom and have no clue what I'm doing. Even with my trusty Baby Bargains book in hand I'm sure I'll pick the wrong things. The reviews online are even more confusing.

I'm going to pray that one of my friends with kids will go to BRU with me and help me filter through the dozens of car seats and strollers. Too many decisions for a preggo to make!

DH and I spent a good 1 1/2 hours going through just the strollers at BRU...we wanted something easy to collapse/manage with one hand but that still felt sturdy. Plus, we currently have a Saturn so we needed to make sure that it's small enough, when collapsed, to fit into the car. We stuck with brand names we know and trust and did a little bit of research before hand.

I agree!  I loved registering for house stuff when I got married, but registering for a baby is SO difficult!  I think I had about 5 breakdowns before I finally decided on everything and even still I keep going back and questioning it all.  I even read the entire Baby Bargains cover-to-cover!

This might help or might not, I registered for what we liked in the store then went home and did my research.  This way your not in the store for hours.  You can update most registries online.  GL, its super confusing.

Where did you get this?  I have never heard of it but it sounds like something I need.  BTW I don't like registering either.  I took one of my friends with a NB to the store with me and it helped A LOT!!!!  GL!

Ditto. It is an amazing book! The same people did a Bridal Bargains book that I used when we got married. They claim that they can save you $250 on baby stuff or you get your money back. No questions asked.

I'm so glad that you posted this!  I had a blast registering for stuff for the wedding, but I get sooo overwhelmed looking at baby stuff that I have no idea if I need or not.  I kinda feel guilty about it too.  I took my mom with me when she was in town and we looked at strollers.  DH and I will go this weekend to look at other stuff.  I wish ya luck!

This was totally me! I tried to register but it was overwhelming. So, I decided I didnt really need a registry. And I gave up on trying to make one.
