NT Numbers?

After both rounds of my NT blood work, the genetic counselor said that our chances of the baby having Down Syndrome or Spina Bifida were 1 in 5,000 & 1 in 4,200. (I can't remember which number corresponded with which, but those were the numbers) All she said to me was that they were great, and she wasn't concerned. Then I have seen several women post that their chances were 1 in 10,000, so that just made me wonder what others had been told. Just curious if there's anyone who doesn't mind to share this.

typically the younger the mother the lower the risk. that is probably where some of the difference comes. I remember my risk being similar to yours and i was completely satisfied with these numbers. in addition, they confirmed the nose bone and neckfold on the big u/s.

I guess the age factor makes sense. I don't know the ages of the women posting on here when I see their numbers. Our U/S looked good as well, so that was nice to hear.
