Anyone seen Avatar in 3D?

We are thinking of going with some friends but I thought I recalled seeing warnings for pregnant women at the 3D IMAX before. I searched the website and can't find anything so thought I'd check here to see if anyone had seen it and if it was uncomfortable/made you nauseous.

  • AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME. I LOVED it!

  • Yes it made me uncomfortable. Uncomfortable with the utter awesomness of the movie! If you can't see Avatar in 3D, then don't see it. Totally different experience. And if you're scared of heights, there might be a couple of parts in the movie (in 3D) that might give you the willies, but other than that...Its a must see.
  • Made me dizzy.  I had to keep taking off the glasses.  It was ok.  It was pretty predictable as far as plot goes, and it has a lot of political undertones, but the graphics are cool.

  • When we saw Christmas Carol in 3D they showed the 3D preview for Avatar.  It looked amazing in 3D but there is a ton of movement going on and whatnot so if you are feeling sick I could definitely see it not being too much fun.  If you've been feeling well, I would say go.
  • We saw it last week, it was fantastic! I got a little dizzy at the beginning  because there is so much going on but then got used to it.
  • I went to it in Imax 3d and I think it is my favorite movie now.

  • The story reminded me a lot of Fern Gully, but the 3D was awesome. Some quick movements in the beginning might make you a little nervous, but it last all of 5 minutes and the rest is fine.

  • If you're feeling OK, I'd say go for it. It was great! The only discomfort I experienced was the guy next to me kept touching my arm. So if you can make sure not to sit next to a creepy guy, go have fun.
  • Saw it on Christmas and it was AWESOME!!!!!
  • Thanks for all the responses! I've heard it's great so I'll plan on seeing it . . . and just keeping my eyes closed for the first 5 minutes.
  • I also really enjoyed it in 3D, but like one of the PP said, the story was good, but somewhat predictable and definitely a little preachy.  But, it is a very good movie overall.  And, I must say I suffer from constant lowgrade nauseau and I had no problems sitting through it, but if you normally have issues with 3D I would say avoid it.

  • I was worried about getting dizzy because I have at other 3d movies but I was completely comfortable at this movie. The 3D affects are there but they are a lot milder than the kind you go to at amusement parks.
