Does Ginger Ale help with acid reflux?

I'm suffering horribly, but I'm on amoxicillin and can't take antacids. Does anyone know if Ginger Ale will help? Or any other things? It's so gross. Thanks!

  • Hmmm, I've never heard that.  Can you take Zantac with your meds?  If not, I'd try milk.

  • If it's actual ginger ale, and not artificial ginger flavor, it might help. Candied ginger has helped me too.

  • I would try milk or pepermint tea.

  • Ginger tea maybe, but the carbonation in ginger ale would probably exaggerate it.  Sucks to be you...  Sad

  • Dairy products!!!!!  They are great for neutralizing stomach acid if you cant take other stuff

  • I'd think that anything fizzy would make it worse.

I'd take milk or eat yogurt.
