I've always done the lose weight thing, which never happens and so I've decided I'm never going to use that as a resolution. I do plan on trying to lose weight after the baby gets here, but my official NY Resolution is:
Start Menu Planning.
I'm so over going home and not knowing what we're having for dinner. I get home a lil' after 5 and DH 5:30 or later depending on his OT schedule, and when he gets home he wants to eat right away usually and so I end up making something fast and crappy. I have so much crap in my cabinets that will go to waste. So, my goal is to plan our dinners for the week every Sunday do my shopping and be done with it buying only what is needed. I'm hoping to save money this way too.

I get so moody lately and am being much more vocal about things when normally I'm always the "nice" one as people say. Now I'm getting bitchy and if I'm at the store and its crowded, I am literally boiling by the end of it from people blocking aisles and crap.
OP you sound just like me and DH. Although we both get home a little earlier in the evenings but we NEVER know what we will have for dinner and go back and forth with each other until almost 7 and then end up making some frozen crappy meal. We have so much crap in our pantry that we never eat, it is ridiculous. About 2 weeks ago I planned all our meals out for the week and it was soo nice. I knew everyday what I had to do when I got home to prepare for dinner and all our meals were homemade.
I am going to make the same NY resolution as you! Good Luck!
This was my goal last year, not only did we save money but it solved the dreaded phone call of "what do you want/what are we having for dinner"
Here are mine:
1. Do a triathlon during the fall. It'll be my post baby celebration race.
2. Have my normal size 4 body back by December.
LMAO
I hadn't really thought about it...obvioulsy not lose weight!
I am going to steal yours and make one of mine meal planning. Not only do I currently not plan but I don't grocery shop regularly so we end up ordering out most nights! We are spending so much money!
And I am going to do another. Budget and cut back expenses. I was recently laid off and I am hoping I am going to be able to stay home or only work PT after baby arrives. So we serously need to cut back on things!
