I used that pop toy others posted for work a lot, and the kids did like it - but I had problems with it breaking and balls getting lost. It is fun though.
My 6 month old son loves the pop up toys (the type where they push or pull buttons and animals/characters pop up)...the key is too find one that the buttons aren't too hard to do. His favorite toy is a FP toy with a "steering wheel", "gear shift" and "horn" that he can move by himself and it activates sounds. We got him a taggies ball that is machine washable online and he loves that too - and i love that its washable.
6 months is a big "cause and effect" age - so anything that has to do with that discovery is normally a hit. GL!
Wow, sounds like the ball popper is a hit! Does anyone have the stroller bar toy? I have seen a few different bar toys and wondered if this would be good for her stroller in the summer.

I second the Taggies items. My LO loves to "read" them in bed. The other big hit at our house is the Leap Frog Spin & Sing:
