Belly support band?

Any one else wearing one of these? Has it actually helped? My doc prescibed me one at my last visit to help with back pain and it is really odd feeling. It looks like those belts that you see big burly guys wearing at the gym when they're weight lifting. So weird!  I guess I just need to let myself get used to it and decide for myself!

I have been wearing one to keep my pants up and its wonderful, I have not had any back pain yet but then again I'm not as far along as you are. I think its worth a shot... why not right?
