Looking to adopt a pet? (FB repost)

King Co. shelters are waiving their fees to adopt pets right now (that can be up to $75!) so it's a great time to adopt if you have the room and time for a new furball.  Pass the info on to anyone you know wanting to adopt!  Sadly they're not taking anymore owner surrendered pets right now because the Kent location is moving, so hopefully lots of critters will get adopted to make room and they can start taking more pets in again.  So sad that these might end up on the streets in the meantime.  :(

  • Crying

I want another kitty.  Stupid HOA rules.

I hope they all go to good homes.  Those ASPCA TV ads kill.me.every.single.time.

  • Yes I hope there is great success in this campaign. I cannot even step into a shelter without crying my eyes out every time. Im talking the ugly cry too...Im sad to see the King County animal shelters go under. We really need them.

  • We adopted one of dogs from the Seattle/Bellevue Humane Society 7 years ago.  It's worth it even if you do pay the fee, not only are you saving an animals life but you get set up really well- First set of vaccinations, Micro chipped, Spayed or Neutered, and behavioral classes. The Humane Society isn't part of the King county animal shelters I believe and isn't closing.
  • Yes  We were going to adopt another cat right before I got my BFP, but now we are going to wait because we'll definitely need to rent DH's parents' house when we put our condo on the market in the spring and they don't want us to have any other pets.

They aren't going under... they're moving because they're in the flood plain.  I thought they'd already moved, but i guess not (good thing they didn't have fall flooding).
