Speaking of UppaBaby Vista (2009 vs. 2010)

So, I pre-ordered my 2010 version of the UppaBaby Vista in October and it is scheduled to ship out between January 7th and the 15th ... but I've been seeing that the 2009 version is of course being offered at a reduced price. I was 100% that the 2010 version was the best one for us but I keep going back to check out the "significant" changes that have been made to the 2010 version of the stroller ... there seem to be a few changes:

  1. Added 0-position seat angle adjustment ?allowing for upright seat position (biggest complaint was that baby had to always be reclining a little unless she or he pulled themselves forward on the bar ... which I actually see babies do all the time).
  2. Extended seat height to accommodate taller children (1.5 inches taller)
  3. a little more padding in the seat ...
  4. break system is a little easier to work

At this point ... the difference in cost is almost $200. Thoughts? TIA

  • We have the 2009 version and honestly when the seat is in the most upright position it doesn't recline back that far, just a bit.  Seems like it would be comfortable to me but who knows?  For $200 bucks I'm not sure how much the difference is worth it...but I haven't seen the 2010 version yet!  So I guess I'm not much help!

    Yeah ... that's what I'm thinking too ... thanks!

  • we are having the same dilemma. I think we will hold out for the 2010. We plan to use this stroller for a long time, and I would like to have the newest and best features possible.

On the other hand ... I totally know where you're coming from ... they haven't yet deducted the money from our account (won't until it's shipped) and the representative kinda just said, "let us know what you want to do." We plan on using it for a long time also ... one of the reasons that we chose the UppaBaby is because of the stroller's ability to accomodate another child ... actually 2 more ... I just don't know if the "significant" changes are worth it ... I mean I thought that they were in October when I pre-ordered the 2010 version but now I'm not so sure ... ahhh! Decisions, Decisions ...

  • Im gonna stick with the 2009. At this point I can't see paying $200 more for only minor upgrades. Either way both are a nice strollers and I'm sure we will be just as happy with the 09'

    Actually ... I just changed my order ... 2009!

  • Sorry, I'm a bit late to this post, but because we're going to be using it for so long, we're going with the 2010 version.  IMO, the more improvements, the better.  GL with the 2009 - still an amazing stroller.  I still don't understand how people go for the Bugaboo or the Orbit when this one has so many more features.
