2nd Trimester

So annoyed with Tailbone pain!

So, my tailbone has been bothering me for the past two months. Last week it finally didn't hurt because I didn't have to work and sit at a desk all day. I am back at work today and UGH!!! It hurts like hell! So, every month I tell my doctor about it and they act like it is no big deal. I had to ask what I can do to make it feel better. All they say is put a heating pad on it. What really freaks me out, I have looked on the internet about this and they say you can possibly break your tailbone during labor if you are having this problem. WHAT? Why hasn' t my doctor said anything about that? Looks lke I will have to bring it up next appointment. Anyone else with this problem?

  • Get a dougnut pillow.

    It's worth the laughs.

When it gets really bad, I also take one Tylenol Extra Strength.

  • I am battling awful sciatic nerve pain and it is getting worse by the minute.  I just called my doctor and am asking to be sent to physical therapy.  I can barely move, I am walking as slow as can be, and any small movement sends a jolting pain through my tailbone/rear-end area.  I have never been so miserable.  I feel your pain.  Hang in there. . . .

  • This happens to me as well.  I haven't mentioned it to my doctor.  I just use a heating pad and take some Tylenol and not pick DS up any more then possible.

I second this! I have broken mine 2 times, and PG is making it act up.

I did get a seating cushion that has a cutout for the tailbone. That made it worse! But, I didn't try the doughnut pillow. I just wrote to the ordering people here at work to order me one. I can't wait to try that. I hope that works! It will be worth the laughs! I can just see everyone now. hahah...
