x/p-Was at the hospital until 2am, but the boys are coming tomorrow!

Hi all! Just wanted to post a quick update on me and the boys. Yesterday when I woke up I felt like someone had zapped every last ounce of energy out of me, so I called the doctor to let her know. The nurse let me know that my hemoglobin count on my b/w from last Wednesday came back super low and that I was severely anemic(on top of having pre-eclampsia) and that was why I had no energy. She said the doc would call me that afternoon. I heard from my OB around 3:00ish and she told me she wanted me to go to the hospital for an NST to make sure the babies were doing okay. Then she called back 15 minutes later and told me that after discussing it with the other doctor, they wanted to go ahead and schedule the c-section for Wednesday and that they wanted me to get blood transfusion so that my levels would go up and I wouldn't get really sick when I lost blood during the C-section.

So, we were at the hospital from about 4:00 until about 2am. Getting a blood transfusion takes a LONG time and is not pleasant, but at least its done. The c-section is scheduled for 7:30 am tomorrow and we have to be at the hospital at 5:30 am!

I know I don't post on here too, too often, but I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their support and for always answering my questions. I can't believe that tomorrow at this time I won't be pregnant anymore. It's gonna be so strange and awesome!

    You poor thing.   A blood transfusion does not sound like a good time.  But hooray for babies tomorrow!  Congrats on keeping them in and healthy for so long.  GL tomorrow.  I'll be thinking of you!

    After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

    The blood transfusion doesn't sound like fun, but I am glad they are being proactive and taking such good care of you. Best wishes and we can't wait to see pics! :)
