2nd Trimester

two questions...

1. I saw the bottle post from earlier and I have a question. I really don't like the dropin bottles just seems like extra stuff. Anyone want to share their fav bottles that aren't dropins (PIP if possible)

2. Also I went yesterday to my DR about a rash on my back. She gave me a topical steriod cream because it is so bad, but I am worried about putting it on. I know she wouldn't have given it to me if it weren't safe...the word steriod seems to freak me out. Anyone else use this during pregnancy?

Re: two questions...

  • Did you get the cream from your OB or just a general practioner?  I know it's crazy, but sometimes GP's will just address the problem at hand and forget to cross-check meds with something you shouldn't be doing.  I would call your OB just to make sure.

  • We used Dr. Brown's with DD, and presuming the new one likes them too will do the same again.  DD had a lot of tummy problems (gas...reflux...milk allergy it took us awhile to find...), and for us these helped with the gas at least.

    Ugh, not happening.

  • It was my OB who gave me the meds

  • I wouldn't worry about using the cream, like you said, she wouldn't give it to you if she didn't think it was safe. Personally, I have to get an injection of a steroid every 6 weeks in conjunction with an intravenous medication I have to also get. They said that because it's so infrequent and a low dose that it's safe. So maybe the amount of steroid in the cream is a safe amount?
  • I'm no help with the bottles but I just wanted I hope you feel better!  Did you get it from your OB for general dr.  If you didn't get it from your OB, you could call and just double check.  If it is from your OB, I'm sure it's safe.

  • We used Born Free and Dr. Brown's for DS.  Really liked both of them.

  • I'm jumping in on the bottle question: I am interested in Dr. Brown's too.  What nipples do you recommend?  Are the wide better?  I feel so clueless!
