Got a call yesterday
We got a call yesterday about a possible placement for 2 kiddos. We had told the agency a few months ago that with us moving to put us on hold in regards to sibling groups. Our casemanager went ahead and called as they need an adoptive home ASAP for a boy and a girl. Boy is age 4 and girl is age 8. We are set to close tomorrow on our new house and will be moving tomorrow afternoon. Our house is tore apart..everything in boxes or waiting to go in boxes, etc. We told her that if we were already in the house it was a for sure yes but with our house being the disaster area that it is, that we just couldn't take the kids last night.
She said that she'd talk to the caseworker to let her know we'd love to have the kids but couldn't have them move in until the morning of 12/31. We hopefully will find out today what is going to happen. The parental rights have been terminated so they are wanting to find a family that would adopt the two kiddos. Hmmm..maybe we'll get our new house and finally be matched all within a few days!!
