2nd Trimester

Since

Since Brylee's heartbeat is much easier to pick up on a doppler DH has been talking about getting one of the fetal dopplers. I guess since now she's not so stubborn as before I wouldn't mind it. But, are the worth the cost? And if so, what brands are ok? Honestly it wouldn't have to be fancy and have the LCD. I think he just wants to hear her haertbeat more (as do I)

Re: Since

  • My husband and I got this one:

It's $100, and I think worth the price. I've had some medical issues as of late and it's been really reassuring to hear LO's heartbeat whenever we want!  It has also made my husband feel a lot more involved in the pregnancy, as he is usually the one using the doppler on me.

I will say this though: It takes us anywhere from 3-10 minutes to find the heartbeat on different days, since we really don't know what we are doing. If you are the type that would really freak out if you couldn't find the heartbeat one day, I would really think it over about getting one.
