s/o diapers, how often does LO switch sizes?

The boys seem pretty consistent on going up a size every 6 weeks. Jake used to be a week behind until size 2-3 but now he's in the same ones as Sam.

I remember feeling like I was going up in sizes really quickly in the beginning.  I think I skipped 2-3 completely, and it seems like she has been in 3s for a relatively long time.  At least a few months...  We've gone through a lot of jumbo boxes.  We are just transitioning from 3s to 4s right now.  She's in the overlap region.

It seemed like he zipped up to size 4 pretty quickly.... but once we got into size 4s a few months ago he seemed to stay there. I don't think we've moved up in the last few months.... but sizes 1, 2, 2-3 went by in a flash.... there was one size we were only in for about one box. He just flew through them.

DS went like this:

Birth - size 1

2 Months - size 2

3 Months - size 2-3

4 Months - size 3

5 Months - size 4

6 Months - just bought ANOTHER box of size 4

I buy the HUGE value boxes at BRU if that makes any difference. But I'm hoping he stays in size 4 until we get through this box at least.

ETA:  We had lots of size 2's leftover too.  I bought a small package of 2-3, then just decided to get size 3 for the big box.
