DH and I were looking into them. I was just scared that they were going to be super messy. For those of you who have them, are they? and what foods do you put in them?
DS was never big on these, but my niece ate nearly everything with one! I think any juicy fruit works well. My advice, though, don't put bananas in there - it's SUCH a pain to clean! Oh, and when your LO will be teething, putting an ice cube in one works wonders!
i use them all the time. I have put in ice cubes and frozen peaches. He loves them. he is teething right now and cant get enough of the ice cubes in them

T loves his. And it is not too hard to clean. You just rinse with soap and hot water and it all comes out pretty easily. We have put: apples, grapes, strawberries (before we knew he wasn't suppose to have them I guess), ice cubes when teething, cucumbers, cantalope, pears, just about anything!
We have one but don't use it very often. It can be messy and a pain to clean. I really like it the most for when DD is in pain from teething. I put ice cubes in it and let her suck on it. It seems to help better than the plastic teethers that you put in the freezer.
Re: s/o mesh feeders.
I tried to give DD it today with banana in it. She wanted nothing to do with it..I'll try again
My BFF loved them. They weren't to messy. But I just associate messy with baby anyways...Who cares It's fun!
